My wife and I are about to start series 3 of this show. We both love the storyline, characters, and acting - we've been hooked and watching two episodes every night. It's great entertainment. The lead character 'Nucky' reminds us of a 1920s Tony Soprano - he's manipulative, devious, murderous, yet somehow likeable! Steve Buscemi is perfect for the role. I deducted one star because the picture quality is not great - it looks pixelated at times. We didn't notice it in series one but series two looks pretty bad - especially considering it's a newer show... Some of the CGI can also look a bit like a video game, but it doesn't take away from our overall enjoyment too much.

This review is quite unusual. The show itself is exceptional, with astonishing production quality and impressive additional features. However, the packaging does not meet the same high standards. It is cheap and poorly made, which is disappointing considering the reputation of this popular show. The seasons are stored in cardboard booklets with BluRay sleeves, but the overall presentation is shabby and unacceptable given the price. Despite being a masterpiece, I am shocked that such a highly regarded show would be presented in such a subpar manner.

There are many reviews discussing the series, so I won't go into that. However, I absolutely adore this series and was thrilled to find a complete box set. It includes numerous extra features and offers plenty of fan service, making it a fantastic addition to any DVD collection. My only minor annoyance is that instead of plastic DVD cases, the DVDs are stored in cardboard sleeves (one per season) with loose slots for each disk. When removing separate seasons to access a specific disk, I often found myself accidentally spilling the contents onto the floor and occasionally ripping the slots. While this may not be a major issue for me since I have carpeted floors, I can imagine it potentially causing damage for others. Overall, the packaging looks great with lovely images of the cast; just be cautious when handling the sleeves as the disks tend to slide around inside.
