Comments & Ratings about this product
In my opinion, this comment highlights the two best dragonball arcs. When King Piccolo appears, it becomes similar to Dragonball Z but with a slightly more cartoonish feel. The voice acting and animation may not be perfect, but they still get the job done. This version of the show seems to be completely uncensored and includes some fun moments that wouldn't typically be allowed in a western cartoon. One particular scene that made me laugh was when a little girl picked up a realistic rifle and aimed it at King Piccolo. However, there are some negatives to consider as well. The box set contains six stacked disks, which can be inconvenient and potentially damaging. Additionally, there are no noteworthy DVD extras such as features or commentaries; only character bios are included on each disk. On the positive side, there is an option for Japanese audio which is nice to have available.
This season is fantastic as Goku faces off against King Piccolo. Words cannot fully express how incredible this show is, but if you haven't watched Dragonball before, I highly recommend starting now!
