For Those About To Rock [We Salute You]

After revisiting my AC/DC collection recently, I must admit that this album falls slightly short in comparison to the iconic "Back in Black" or "Highway to Hell". However, it still delivers some decent rock music and provides a glimpse into the essence of the band. The title track stands out as the strongest offering, with its powerful cannon blasts that awaken the listener and showcase the band's determination. Personally, I particularly enjoy "C.O.D. (care of the devil)" which kicks off with intense drumming and ripping vocals from Johnson. This album, being their second release after Bon Scott's passing, demonstrates that AC/DC is more than capable of carrying on and creating solid music that pleases both new and old fans alike. While it may not reach the anthemic status of their aforementioned albums, it still serves as an enjoyable rock record to blast during those summer months. This album arrived promptly and the songs are excellent. I was particularly impressed with the remastering, as it greatly improved the sound quality of a recording originally made in 1981. I highly recommend "For Those About to Rock" as one of AC/DC's best albums with Brian Johnson. The remastering is immediately noticeable, providing a crisp, clear, and louder sound quality.
