Sapphire and Steel: The Complete Series

Surprisingly impressive. Don't expect it to be like 'Doctor Who' because it's completely different. Despite its lower production values, the show is packed with intriguing concepts. The main characters are left unexplained, but this actually allows for more imaginative interpretation. It definitely breaks away from any formulaic category and wouldn't be made in today's industry. Difficult to summarize, but worth giving a try – you'll either love or hate it. McCallum and Lumley deliver strong performances in well-suited roles.

I've purchased this set twice and unfortunately, it was never returned when I lent it out the first time. However, if you enjoy offbeat titles from Network, there's a good chance you'll appreciate this show as well. It's one of my absolute favorites in my collection. While it may have a slower pace at times, I don't see it as a weakness. In fact, taking breaks and watching it over multiple sittings can help us truly savor and enjoy what unfolds. Lumley and McCallum deliver amazing performances in this show. The vision, ambition, and execution of Sapphire and Steel are truly commendable - it's an experience that shouldn't be missed by any fan of Cult TV. Thank you!
