Comments & Ratings about this product
I found this hub to be satisfactory as it successfully worked with all the peripherals we tested. However, I believe its price is a bit high, which affects my overall rating. Since my application focuses on communicating with multiple peripherals that have their own power sources, I did not test its power-delivery capability. Nonetheless, one feature that stands out to me is the +12VDC input connector. It allows for easy substitution of a different 12 V supply, making it compatible with "CE" systems using IEC power connectors.
I haven't encountered any problems with this 3.0 hub, but it does seem a bit pricey. The power brick is bulky and expensive, and it uses a proprietary connector instead of a more common barrel jack or USB power cable. However, I have noticed that my USB devices are behaving better since using it, which is a positive. It's difficult to fully recommend due to the high price tag, but I mainly purchased it for its under-desk mounting capability.
