Sully: Miracle On The Hudson is a 2017 American biographical dramatic film directed by Clint Eastwood and based on the life of Sully Sullenberger, an American Airlines pilot who was forced to abort his higher-altitude flight to New York City after experiencing engine failure. The film stars Tom Hanks and Gary Oldman.
The film tells the story of Sullenberger's successful attempt to fly his Boeing 777-200ER into New York City's Yankee Stadium on September 13, 2016, in order to make a news report on the airplane's technical problems. After successfully landing the airplane without any injuries, Sully faced an intense public spotlight. He was praised for his heroic actions and became an internet sensation.
The film was released on February 15, 2017, by Paramount Pictures.
