Comments & Ratings about this product
I absolutely adore Katy, she brings a breath of fresh air and has an incredible presence. My favorite songs from her are 'The One That Got Away', which never fails to move me with its poignant lyrics. 'Firework', 'Teenage Dream', and 'ET' all hold a special place in my heart for different reasons. I highly recommend giving them a listen as they are truly worth it. It's just a shame that 'If We Ever Meet Again' isn't included, as it is on par with the emotional impact of 'The One That Got Away'.
I recently discovered Katy Perry after watching her film/documentary "Part of Me" at the cinema. I was immediately drawn to her music and decided to purchase her albums. "The Complete Confection" is a compilation of all her popular hits, which are incredibly catchy and have a poppy sound. In addition to her well-known songs, this album also includes some new tracks that were not featured on her previous album, "Teenage Dream." One standout is an acoustic version of "The One That Got Away," as well as the song "Wide Awake," which was specifically written for the film/documentary. Another highlight is a version of "Last Friday Night" featuring Missy Elliott. Overall, this album is a must-have for any Katy Perry fan due to its extra tracks and fantastic listening experience.
I really enjoyed this album as most of the tracks were very good, which is rare for albums nowadays. However, I did find some of the lyrics to be explicit and even my 12-year-old daughter understood their meaning on multiple occasions. It's disappointing that artists feel the need to use such crude language in their songs, especially since it seems to be a common trend in popular music. It's difficult to shield our children from these messages when they are so prevalent in the charts.
