Comments & Ratings about this product
Unfortunately, I didn't find the book engaging even after reading 50 pages. It felt like a struggle to continue. The story revolves around Auri and her activities in the underthing of The University. Although it's interesting to read about Auri, her broken mind and unique way of finding solace can be challenging. If we were given something to fill the gap until book 3, I would prefer a backstory on characters like Elodin, Denna or Devi as they hold great potential for a short story. However, it is clear that the writer believes Auri shouldn't be forgotten since she remains alone while we eagerly follow Kvothe's main plotline - so I understand their sentiment.
After reading the Kingkiller Chronicles, I was captivated by the idea of a book solely focused on Auri. The story is truly beautiful. Auri's unique character and her contentment in her own world, where everything has its place, fascinated me. I felt completely immersed as I walked alongside her through this enchanting journey.
