The rain, Tome 01: The rain

The Rain is the first volume of a graphic novel series about a world that suddenly changes when a deadly virus-infected rain starts falling from the sky. As people scramble to find shelter from the acidic rain, some are not so lucky and are left exposed to the virus. Ruby, one of the survivors, returns home only to find her mother and brother dead from exposure to the virus. Her stepfather, Simon, forbids any use of water in an attempt to avoid further contamination.

Ruby and Simon venture out into the city to scavenge for supplies, witnessing scenes of chaos and death as people are left exposed to the virus-infested rain. Upon returning home, Simon falls ill and dies from exposure to the virus. Now alone, Ruby decides to make her way to London in search of her father. When she arrives, she finds the house empty except for a note from her father saying he will return soon. Seven weeks later, Ruby is still waiting for her father while trying to survive on her own.

The Rain offers an intense and gripping tale of survival in a post-apocalyptic world where water has become a deadly weapon. The story follows Ruby as she navigates through the chaos and devastation left behind by the virus, all while struggling to keep herself alive amidst the dangers that lurk around every corner.
