"Envoyée spéciale" is an excellent book that keeps you hooked for days, but the ending is very disappointing as it seems rushed and incomplete, leaving a bitter taste of unfinished business! I am really disappointed with the ending. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the style, which is demanding. The story only interested me in the third and final part, but I didn't begrudge my pleasure in reading such prose. The beginning may seem disconcerting in terms of writing, but you quickly get caught up in the story.

Opening a book by Jean Echenoz means first confronting an absolutely magnificent literary style, and let's not be afraid to use any superlative. The language is beautiful, worked on, evoking images; the sentences are sometimes.
