I initially overlooked all the episodes when they aired on TV due to my dismissive attitude. However, my wife insisted on telling me about it, so we decided to get the complete collection on DVD. I thoroughly enjoyed it as it cleverly parodies shows like Crossroads with its wobbly sets, furniture mishaps, and missed cues. It's a classic example of how to create laughter. There is so much happening constantly that it demands multiple viewings in order to catch everything. Overall, it was a fantastic purchase!
As someone who is not young, I have fond memories of the hilarious Acorn sketches. The clever use of moving walls, the intentionally poor camera work, and the anticipation of seeing different members of the shop waiting to come on stage all contributed to its brilliance. The impeccable timing and delivery by talented actors made it truly great. Watching this DVD could teach many modern sketches a thing or two. It's simply fantastic and incredibly enjoyable.
