Comments & Ratings about this product
USB 3 ports may not always be fully compatible with USB 1 or USB 2 devices, causing frustration. To solve this issue, I decided to get a genuine USB 2 drive for the front of my computer. However, be aware that if you have a remote hard drive for backups and install this device, you may need to make some adjustments. The drive letter of your remote disk drive could be randomly changed, as happened to me. This change also caused issues with my Acronis Backup software, requiring a reinstallation. It's unclear whether the blame lies with Acronis, Akasa, or Microsoft. While it can be resolved with some troubleshooting, it is an unexpected and annoying problem.
I recently had a PC built and realized I forgot to include a card reader. After some research, I decided to purchase this one due to its affordability and positive reviews. As someone with limited experience in PC building and modding, I found it incredibly easy to install. All I had to do was remove a panel on the case, slide the card reader in snugly, and connect the cable to the motherboard. The provided screws were not necessary for my particular machine. Upon turning on my computer, all the slots (SD/Micro SD/USB) that I have tested so far are working perfectly. The USB port is slightly stiff at first, but with regular use, it should become easier to plug in devices. Overall, I highly recommend this internal card reader for anyone in need of one.
