I was not sure if I would really use an Alexa device, but I was quite interested. How we managed before Alexa, I do not know. It's fantastic. The children all their questions and are constantly learning from it. We use it to play any music we want to listen to. VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE! I bought the Echo on the main day along with the Eufy Lumos Smart Bulb-White bulb. It came to around £ 65 at the time. I wish I had bought two in hindsight as a gift! I chose the Echo instead of the Dot simply because of the reviews that the speaker quality in the Echo is better. A few friends of mine have the Dot, so I knew the quality of the reference point and I can say that the Echo is much better. It is crisp and fills the room. I use it mainly to listen to audio books in Audible and it's fantastic. During the day, I could sit in the living room where my friends and I can ask Alexa to play several songs that we call. And at night I often move it (because I only have one :() in my room and I ask Alexa to play one of my audiobooks for a certain time, for example, "touch the Secret Barrister in Audible" and "stop touch after 30 "minutes." As I said, I also installed the Eufy white light bulb, so far, I must admit, it's pretty clever, I do not end up asking Alexa to do something with the compilation, if I had more options, I would have bought a of colored light bulbs, because they have more functions like synchronization with music, etc. But, again, it's probably a bit sophisticated, one potential use that I still have to do is move the light bulb to my room so I can ask to Alexa to turn off the light while I'm already in bed, but anyway, yes, I would definitely recommend it.

I got this as a gift for a family member who is in bed rest with medical advice and unfortunately has a condition that severely limits his mobility, including his hands. This has been really wonderful for them as now, instead of just watching television all day, they can listen to radio, music, listen to audio books, ask questions, receive weather updates and now control their TV box fire, etc. ., only with your voice. Honestly, he has added a new dimension to their daily lives and they love it. I strongly recommend this for anyone with reduced mobility or a gift for someone they may know.

This is really an excellent speaker. It works very well with alexa. I am very fussy about my speakers and will say that I will not compete for sound with sonos or hi-fi settings. However, I'm not supposed to. As a speaker to use in a kitchen, etc. It's great. The sound is good for a speaker of that size. I have mine connected to the multiple room with my hi-fi system using an echo. It's great for that to add sound to my level. I use it independently for when my children are near high fidelity too high! Buy one. Not to replace your hi-fi system, but add it as a multiple room with eco dot connected to HiFi and you will have the best of both worlds. It works very well with Spotify.
