Timothy Spall shines in an unusual leading role, while Juno Temple delivers a remarkable performance as his co-star. The clever use of flashbacks by the Director breathes new life into a somewhat tired story. The depiction of Blackpool and its illuminations is so well done that it transports you there. Overall, this film is definitely worth watching, especially for Juno Temple who has the expressive eyes reminiscent of classic silent movie stars. Despite the familiar plot of a good person getting involved with a drug dealer and things escalating, the combination of Blackpool's setting and the talents of Timothy Spall and Juno Temple make it a compelling watch.

The main actors deliver impressive performances, and it was a pleasant surprise to see Matt Ryan reprising his role as Constantine. The movie strikes a perfect balance between darkness, sadness, and bits of humor. The flashbacks to previous events not only help the audience understand the characters better but also contribute to the overall change in direction of the film. All of this takes place against the backdrop of Blackpool.
