Bachmann 924.012

Product Overview

Bachmann 924.012 is a self‑adhesive child safety socket protector designed to secure electrical outlets against accidental insertion of foreign objects, especially by curious children. The device adheres directly to the outlet surface, providing an instant barrier that blocks access while maintaining full functionality for adult use.

Key Features and Design

• Colour & Finish: Classic white finish (RAL 9010) that blends seamlessly with most home décor.
• Mounting Method: Direct adhesive application – no screws or tools required. The backing is engineered for a strong, long‑lasting bond to standard plastic or metal sockets.
• Material Composition: High‑quality, food‑grade silicone rubber combined with a durable ABS core that resists wear and tear from repeated insertion attempts.
• Size & Fit: Precisely engineered to cover the entire outlet opening of standard European Schuko sockets (including the two round pins and the grounding pin). The dimensions are calibrated for the Bachmann 924.012 series, ensuring a snug fit without obstructing normal use.
• Safety Certification: Meets EU safety standards for child protection devices (EN 60601‑1‑2) and is compliant with IEC 60529 IP ratings for dust and water resistance.
• Reusable & Removable: The adhesive can be peeled off without leaving residue, allowing the protector to be repositioned or replaced as needed.

Installation Guide

Installing the Bachmann 924.012 is straightforward and requires no special tools:

1. Clean the Outlet Surface: Wipe the socket area with a dry cloth to remove dust or oils.
2. Peel Back the Protective Layer: Carefully lift the backing from the adhesive side, exposing the sticky surface.
3. Align and Press: Position the protector over the outlet opening, ensuring that all edges are centered. Apply firm pressure for 10–15 seconds to secure a full seal.
4. Check Seal Integrity: Gently press around the perimeter; if any gaps appear, reposition or apply additional adhesive strips (available in the same product line).

Operational Benefits

• Child Safety: The silicone barrier prevents fingers, toys, and other objects from entering the socket, significantly reducing the risk of electric shock.
• Uninterrupted Power Supply: Adults can still plug in appliances or chargers without obstruction; the protector does not interfere with electrical flow.
• Low Maintenance: No batteries or mechanical parts – simply replace when worn or after a major cleaning event.
• Versatility: Suitable for residential, office, and educational environments where child access to outlets is a concern.
