David Tennant delivers a captivating performance in this series, showcasing his range from vulnerability to joy and despair. His chemistry with the leading ladies is remarkable. The writing is exceptional, and the sex scenes are tastefully done, focusing more on enjoyment rather than being explicit. Rupert Penry-Jones shines as the controlling fiancee and rival to Casanova, adding depth to the story. Although I have only watched half of it so far, I am eagerly anticipating what happens next.
This film is truly excellent, showcasing David Tennant at his absolute best. He proves to be an incredibly versatile actor, effortlessly transitioning between different genres. The movie offers a perfect blend of drama, intrigue, and especially comedy. It's definitely worth watching again for the second time.
Pre-Dr Who David Tennant showcases his undeniable talent in the Tardis, embodying both Casanova and the Doctor with a mischievous, playful, and irresistibly attractive charm. While the supporting roles are limited, they still deliver impressive performances. The absence of extras is a disappointment; otherwise, this would have been a five-star experience. Highly recommended for fans of David Tennant, Russell T Davies, or anyone seeking an enchanting adventure with exceptional acting.
