Compared to Coppolla's overly romanticized version, this BBC adaptation is the closest I've seen to the book. Despite being made for TV, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has enough fangs and blood to satisfy horror enthusiasts, with a fantastic old school gothic atmosphere. The outstanding cast, particularly Louis Jordon's charismatic and sinister portrayal of Dracula, adds to its appeal. If you're a fan of old horrors or Hammer films, I highly recommend this DVD as it echoes those classics in many ways.

I watched this BBC adaptation years ago and absolutely loved it. It stayed true to the book and is a classic that shouldn't be missed, especially at this price.
