Comments & Ratings about this product
This series is a fantastic compilation of some of the most well-known Dickens stories. It is intense, funny, and sad, evoking both tears and laughter, hope and despair. The method used to portray the characters and their corresponding Dickens stories is amazing. It keeps you guessing as you watch, adding to the enjoyment. Overall, this series is ingenious and wonderful, leaving you eagerly anticipating the next episode. I highly recommend it to both Dickens fans and those who are not familiar with his work. You will thoroughly enjoy every moment of it.
I thoroughly enjoyed the entire series and appreciated the delightful characters that made this production truly worth watching. The fast delivery and careful packaging were also greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Although the first episode may start off slow, it's worth sticking with because the concept is truly fascinating. The show takes on a unique format by incorporating Dickens characters from his novels into a soap opera-like setting. Picture beloved Eastenders characters being replaced by iconic figures like Bob Cratchit, Scrooge and Marley, Fagin, and Miss Havisham. They all reside in the same neighborhood, leading to intertwined storylines that make for compelling viewing. It's unfortunate that the BBC decided to cancel it after just one season.
