Michael Douglas portrays a character on a challenging quest in a society filled with rude and criminal individuals, representing the worst aspects of the USA. Despite his efforts to address these difficulties, he finds himself descending into his own criminal abyss. One particularly memorable scene involves an interaction between Douglas and a "Nazi" surplus store owner, which would likely be censored in today's more sensitive times. However, this scene effectively highlights the dysfunction present in some Americans. Although I watched this film many years ago, revisiting it brought me great enjoyment.
