Green Room [Blu-ray]

I was pleasantly surprised by this film despite some mixed reviews. I should have known that director Jeremy Saulnier, who did the fantastic Blue Ruin with Macon Blair, was behind it. Green Room is a tightly crafted and impactful film that may not be for everyone due to its willingness to eliminate "character armor" like Game of Thrones does. The well-developed characters add depth and tension to the story as they act independently rather than following a predictable narrative arc. The attention to detail in exploring the intersection between left-wing post punk and racist nihilist metal-punk is also commendable. Overall, an excellent film. It's unfortunate that this will be Anton Yelchin's last appearance.

However, it is important to note that the movie contains a significant amount of violence, so if that's not your preference, it may be best to avoid it. Overall, this thrilling movie has captivated me enough to watch it multiple times - a testament to its excitement and entertainment value.
