While it may not be one of his finest works, this film is still enjoyable to watch and surpasses the low-quality content being produced in Hollywood.
I absolutely adored this film. It's a beautifully crafted farce that pays homage to Almodovar's earlier works while showcasing his growth and expertise. The cast delivers pitch-perfect performances, and the cinematography is incredibly inventive considering most of the story takes place on a plane. Yes, the plot may be exaggerated, and the characters are archetypes, but the director skillfully weaves these elements together to create a story filled with genuine warmth. He reminds us that our lives and loves can be absurd, just like those who govern us. If you're not a fan of this genre, then this film may not be for you. However, if you appreciate this style of filmmaking, it would be hard to find a better example than this one. Oh, and I laughed so much that I cried!
This film is incredibly hilarious, although it can be a bit confusing at times. However, it gets better with each viewing. The "I'm So Excited" sequence is absolutely hysterical and will leave you in awe. I first watched it at the cinema, so buying the DVD shows that it's definitely worth experiencing. Just let go of any doubts and enjoy!
