Comments & Ratings about this product
This live album is absolutely brilliant and truly captures Nirvana at their absolute peak. The Reading performance was legendary, with uncertainty surrounding whether the band would even show up due to persistent rumors of drug overdoses. Kurt Cobain made a dramatic entrance on stage, being pushed in a wheelchair by Kris Novoselic, and the rest is history. Amidst all the chaos, this concert showcased a band that meant business.
The DVD version of the concert may not have had any fancy special effects or elaborate stage setup, but it perfectly captured the raw energy of Nirvana's music and the electric atmosphere created by both the band and their devoted crowd. However, it is on vinyl where the true power of their music shines through. This recording stands as a testament to their last performance on British soil and serves as an essential piece of music history.
Nirvana rightfully holds a place among the greatest bands ever, and this vinyl release exemplifies why. Few bands have made such an impact as Nirvana did during their time, and it's hard to find many who have come close since then. For me personally, this band was more than just music; they were an integral part of my childhood that never fails to bring a smile to my face. Rest in peace, Kurt Cobain
I've switched back to vinyl because the sound quality is far superior to CDs. This Nirvana live album is one of my favorites, and it creates a captivating atmosphere. It's definitely worth replacing the CD with this vinyl version.
