This album is absolutely incredible, hands down my favorite from Doves. Every single song creates such a captivating and mesmerizing atmosphere, with not a single one falling short of being fantastic. There's only one track that doesn't make it onto my list of favorites, but overall the simplicity executed in this album is truly remarkable.
The debut album by Doves is truly outstanding, showcasing their talent for creating ambient sonic music that remains commercially appealing. The opening track 'Firesuite' sets the tone perfectly, and 'Here It Comes' is incredibly catchy. Other standout songs include the Radiohead-inspired 'Sea Song', the beautiful ballad 'The Man Who Sold Everything', and the energetic guitar-driven 'Catch The Sun'. If you haven't had a chance to listen to this album before, I highly recommend giving it a try - you won't be let down.
