Overall, the album is quite underwhelming with only a handful of standout songs. The best tracks are found towards the end, which prompted me to sell it quickly.
The sound quality and vocals on my system are exceptional, even for recordings that are not well done. I am definitely going to purchase the other two albums.
Miss R's latest album is a proper return to form, showcasing excellent content. Compared to her second album, which felt scattered and lacked cohesion, this one feels more well-rounded. Taking a break from the major label seems to have had a positive impact on her music. Throughout the album, there are vulnerable moments where she bares her soul. I highly recommend checking out the video for "No Good At All" as it is fantastic and the album itself has many standout tracks. While I believe Miss R still has even better work ahead of her, I give this album 4 stars. If you have the opportunity to see her perform live, I highly encourage you to do so. The standout track on the album is "I Can't Change It All," with its gradual build-up and Lucy's slow vocals accompanied by beautiful instrumentals - it is easily the best thing she has done so far. Take some time to invest in this album; it will definitely be worth your while in return.
