I have watched numerous crime dramas, but this one stands out as the best. It is filled with surprising twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. This is not your typical crime drama; it surpasses all others in quality. I was so captivated by it that I binge-watched the entire series in just a few days! The actors and actresses deliver outstanding performances, never failing to entertain. Ken Stott, in particular, shines in his role. Just when you think you've figured out who's behind everything, the story takes another unexpected turn. If you appreciate exceptional acting, well-developed characters, and clever plots, I highly recommend buying this series.
This TV crime drama was a masterpiece in its time and still remains brilliant today. However, I would give it 4 stars instead of 5 because series 1 to 4 were truly awesome with Ken Stott and his outstanding team. Unfortunately, series 5 with Marc Warren and his team didn't have the same impact for me. I'm not sure why Ken left or why the series ended, but if the writers decided to continue without him or bring in someone new for a follow-up series, it let down the greatness of the first four seasons.
