I have to confess that I watched this film after hearing about several "true stories," so maybe my expectations were too high. The biggest issue for me was that I couldn't connect with the main character and her transformation into a better person felt unconvincing. Additionally, the gigolo's denial - spoiler alert - didn't add any depth to the story. A good story should make you care about the characters, but unfortunately, that didn't happen here.
The cast in this movie is truly outstanding, and I particularly enjoyed Jessica Chastain's leading performance. Although she may have slightly exaggerated the hard-charging corporate character, it was still enjoyable to watch. The twist at the end added an extra layer of enjoyment to the film.
I absolutely love Jessica's work, and this piece is definitely at the top for me. The story line is incredibly captivating, and the ending is simply fantastic - it truly lives up to expectations. However, I must admit that I wouldn't want to marry a woman who possesses both such strict orderliness and savage tendencies.
