The cables, while visually appealing, are thick and hard compared to the softer paracord cables available. However, the biggest problem is that these cables degrade over time and can cause instability, resulting in blue screens of death (BSOD) and crashes after approximately three years. I personally experienced BSOD related to WHEA_HARDWARE_ERROR, which may be helpful for others facing the same issue. Despite trying various solutions such as testing new RAM, reinstalling Windows, getting a new SSD and PSU, ultimately removing the cable extensions resolved all stability issues. I would not recommend these cable extensions due to the potential nightmare of diagnosing such problems. Instead, consider investing in higher-quality or custom cables from brands like Phanteks; although they are generally reliable, their cable quality control could use improvement.
I recently purchased my second kit from Phanteks and I am impressed with the high quality and reasonable price. However, I do feel that the combs included in the kit could be improved. The kit includes 2 cables for SLI/Crossfire graphics cards, as well as a 24-pin and an 8-pin cable for the CPU.
The cables are excellent, especially considering the price. It would be even better if there were a sufficient number of combs included.
