Comments & Ratings about this product
I wish I could experience the joy of discovering this book for the first time again. With this new series of hardcover volumes, new readers have the opportunity to collect this title in a beautifully presented format. If you're interested in comics but can only afford to buy what you know you'll like, this is a safe choice. The story is sharp and funny at times, and the artwork is consistently sublime. In a decade where comics were lacking, this title, along with Gaiman's Sandman and Robinson's Starman, stood out as shining lights. Buy it, enjoy it, and then read it again - it's that good!
If you're considering buying this book, I highly recommend it. The cover is one of my favorites and immediately drew me in. The characters are portrayed amazingly and the story is unique. Despite the protagonist not having conventional super powers, Jessie Custer and his friends still kick ass. The illustrations are brilliant and there's plenty of action throughout. Overall, this comic book is a must-have for any collection.
