After initially hesitating due to a few negative comments, I decided to purchase this sequel and I am so glad that I did. It was just as enjoyable as "Cranford" and even though some of the old characters were missing, the main actors were still there. The storyline flowed well with the original and there was a sense of continuity. Now, I hope that BBC Drama will bring more of Elizabeth Gaskell's books to our screens, maybe even another sequel to "Return to Cranford" that includes characters from the original. Overall, "Return to Cranford" is just as delightful as its predecessor and will surely bring pleasure to fans of England's finest directors, writers, and actors. - Ann Lockey from Wellington, NZ
CRANFORD was an absolute delight to watch! We highly recommended it to our friends in America, and they ended up buying the entire series. It is truly a must-watch. As avid fans of Period Drama, my husband and I find them to be a source of joy and wholesome entertainment, especially during these difficult and challenging times.
The cast, production, and location are excellent, just like in the first series. I would give it 5 stars. However, if you have hearing issues, this could be a big problem. Personally, I wear two hearing aids and can only understand about 40% of this film. It would be helpful if the seller made it clear that this download does not come with subtitles.
