This film is fantastic and offers a unique interpretation of the R3 story. The entire cast is exceptional, making it difficult to single out one standout performance. It provides a glimpse into 1930s Britain and explores what could have happened if certain influential individuals had their way. One subtle detail that stands out is when the Duke of Clarence is seen leaving his darkroom with a print of Hitler, Clarence, and Gloucester drying on the line. This showcases the vision Loncraine and McKellen had for their production. There are many other subtleties throughout the film, so be sure to watch closely and not miss them. I highly recommend this movie.
This film is a powerful portrayal by a brilliant actor, set in the 1930s era with the foreboding threat of war all around. It's one of my favorite retellings of a familiar story and an excellent, chilling watch.
