RINGS [DVD] [2017]

I found the Asian versions of the Ring movies to be much scarier than the American ones. The story revolves around a professor conducting experiments with a cursed video. He asks certain students to watch it and then pass it on to someone else. Similar to the previous Rings, one girl becomes determined to uncover why this is happening and watches the video herself, discovering additional scenes not in the original. I won't spoil the ending, but I was disappointed that there wasn't any new material or storyline, which was somewhat expected. Personally, I wish horror writers would incorporate more terrifying elements like those found in Asian horrors or 1960s Hammer Horrors. If you're bored on a Sunday afternoon, it's worth watching, but I regret not waiting for it to be available on Now TV or Netflix.
