Rollerball [Blu-ray]

I highly recommend the article on Slate titled "Rewatching Rollerball in 2019: A Cult Classic with a Deeper Message." This latest 4k version of the film is truly enjoyable, especially if you're a Gen Z or have memories of the 70's. As someone who grew up on a British Army base in Germany, I found it particularly evocative due to its filming locations and overall style. The story progresses at a satisfying pace and the visuals are much improved compared to watching it on TV.

This classic film is surprisingly almost forgotten, but it deserves recognition. The performances are great, the screenplay is fine, and the fast editing and nice visuals make it stand out as unusual and original for its time. Although some critics initially disliked the film, they praised the performances. Considering the social issues it raises, I believe this film is important, especially considering it was made in 1975. It may have been ahead of its time. Overall, it provides solid entertainment and deserves a 5-star rating from me.
