After reading other reviews, I anticipated that this book would be small. However, it is impractical due to its size. Although it contains valuable information and helpful ideas, the difficulty in opening the book flat and properly viewing the illustrations became frustrating. The concept of a "pocket-sized" book on sketching seems flawed to me as a working artist. I cannot envision a scenario where I would need to carry a sketching book in my pocket while actually sketching outdoors. This book is better suited for comfortable reading when contemplating or planning future sketching sessions, therefore it should be larger for an enjoyable reading experience.
