This was my first Deep Purple album, so I may be a bit biased. Joe Lynn Turner is a talented pop singer who had some standout moments in Rainbow and Deep Purple MkV. However, he doesn't have the same style as Gillan or Coverdale and his stage presence was lacking. Overall, this remaster is good. Personally, I prefer jewel cases over digipacks but the packaging is nice with band photos and single cover art included. The booklet also has additional photos, essays, and interview snippets which are enjoyable. However, I didn't notice much improvement in the remastering compared to the original DP remasters by EMI. The bonus single tracks aren't very interesting except for the B-side "Slow Down Sister" which is a hidden gem. It's disappointing that another rare track "Fire, Ice and Dynamite" is missing though. This release is recommended for Deep Purple fans and collectors alike.
