I really enjoyed this thought-provoking film that explores themes of greed and the willingness to harm others for personal gain. It effectively teaches us about unbreakable metaphysical laws and reminds us of the devil's deceitful nature, as he often fails to deliver on his promises and tells numerous lies.
This film is unique and stands out from others. It's not a thriller, and it doesn't try to be one from the start. It resembles an old German cautionary fairy tale, similar to the Brothers Grimm stories, but it takes place in the late 70s. To fully enjoy it, you need to suspend your disbelief. The main focus seems to be on delivering a moral message rather than anything else. The ending isn't sad; there is some resolution that prompts reflection on the characters' actions and consequences. However, the sound quality can be a bit off at times, so it's important to catch all the dialogue for better understanding of the story.
