I have always been a fan of Pierce Brosnan and his performances, but I must say that I have never seen him in such a captivating role before. This film is truly exceptional, devoid of unnecessary sentimentality yet filled with an abundance of love. The story revolves around a shattered family who has lost their one perfect piece. Carey Mulligan's acting skills are outstanding; simply looking at her face brings me comfort. If you're in the mood for a heartfelt and emotional experience, this film is definitely worth watching.
The movie features a talented cast who deliver exceptional performances. Pierce Branson portrays a grieving father struggling to express his inner emotions and cope with the loss of his son. Susan Sarandon plays a mourning mother whose life is consumed by grief and an inability to move forward from the tragedy that has affected her family. The film explores themes of love and family relationships, leaving a lasting impact on viewers. The only flaw in the movie is the portrayal of the deceased son, who seems too perfect to be realistic. However, considering he is described by friends and family members after his death, it is possible that he has been idealized.
