Despite the negative criticism, I absolutely adore this movie. It is easily one of my all-time favorites. The humor, talented cast, and captivating storyline make it a must-watch. While some may find the acting a bit cheesy, that doesn't bother me at all. In fact, it's perfect for kids and even makes for a fun Halloween viewing. Trust me, you won't regret buying it.
I'm a huge fan of the 'Haunted Mansion' ride at Disney, so it was only natural for me to buy the movie. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Don't pay attention to the negative reviews on imdb. This film is incredibly fun and has a great gothic vibe. Eddie Murphy's performance is hilarious as always, and I really enjoyed the story. Watching the movie actually made me appreciate the ride even more because now I understand its backstory. Overall, I absolutely love this movie and am thrilled that I bought it on DVD.
