Comments & Ratings about this product
This album is a fantastic blend of songs, featuring notable collaborations with Brandon Flowers (Mixed Signals), Ed Sheeran (Pretty Woman), and long-time writing partner Guy Chambers. It's safe to say that this is Robbie Williams' best album since Escapology in 2002. In an interview, Robbie mentioned that he wrote around 80 songs for this album, allowing him and his wife to carefully select the ones that made it onto the final tracklist. The choices they made were excellent, leaving us curious about the songs that didn't make it - perhaps we'll hear them on a future album or Under the Radar vol 2. There isn't a single weak song on this album; however, some may require multiple listens to fully appreciate. Ultimately, everyone has different tastes, so it's important to judge the album for yourself. Personally, I can envision Robbie performing 7 or 8 of these songs live during his upcoming tour next year - they are sure to sound incredible. Overall, I would rate this album a solid 9/10.
Slightly improved album compared to Robbie's previous release, "Take The Crown". I personally enjoyed the track "Party Like A Russian". However, overall it is rather forgettable and average. Robbie's last noteworthy album was "Escapology" in 2002. It would be great if he could create something similar again.
Although his relevance in today's mainstream pop culture may not be as strong as it once was, Robbie still proves he can deliver. While some songs on the album have a familiar vintage Robbie feel, it's important to note that his target audience has always embraced this style. Overall, the album is a satisfying return to what he knows best. It offers a variety of diverse song choices, all of which deserve their place on the record.
