Comments & Ratings about this product
Tadream historians may notice that the live album Encore is not in the correct order with Cyclone, which was included in the previous boxset. This was done intentionally to ensure that Peter Baumann's name would be included on the royalty payment list for two successful boxsets instead of just one. Another mystery solved is that the track "Hobo March" is actually "Ode to Granny A" from Edgar Froese's solo album Ages. It did appear as a single b-side in 1977, so it was not a mistake but rather one of many pieces over the years that have been attributed to multiple sources. Now onto the third mystery - what happened to Thief, Pergammon, and Heartbreakers? These albums were all released on Virgin label either within the indicated time frame or later after their studio album contract had expired. So, while enjoying some of the best electronic music you'll find anywhere, take some time to unravel these mysteries.
If you're a fan or interested in discovering Tangerine Dream, I highly recommend their 5 CD set from their time with Virgin Records (1977-1983). It includes all their best albums like Encore, Force Majeure, Tangram, Exit, White Eagle, Logo's & Hyperborea, plus some bonus tracks. This collection is truly exceptional and a must-have for any fan. If you want to experience the essence of this band, get this set and prepare to be amazed by their incredible talent. Personally, I've always considered Tangram as one of their finest works, but listening to this compilation made me realize just how many amazing CDs and tracks they have produced. I absolutely love it and will be enjoying it for a long time to come.
The comment describes a piece of music that starts with a calm organ, followed by rhythmic electronic pulses. It then transitions into a noisy guitar part before ending with another quiet organ section. Throughout the track, there are occasional electronic beeps. The commenter purchased this music in hopes of finding something as good as Phaedra but ultimately concluded that it probably wasn't on par with their expectations.
