The comment began strongly with clever jokes, but Simon Pegg appeared to have difficulty maintaining the momentum. It lost its direction halfway through and became repetitive, which was somewhat disappointing.
If you enjoyed Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, then you'll likely enjoy The World's End as well. My wife and I loved it, especially Gary King (Simon Pegg) who reminded her of an exaggerated version of myself. The story may feel a bit contrived at times, but the ending delivers on its promise of the end of the world. There are some interesting twists and turns that can be hinted at in the extras. Even though I usually catch these secrets in films, there were a few that slipped past me this time. Whether you're a fan of the previous films or new to the series, The World's End is worth watching. While Hot Fuzz remains my favorite out of the trilogy, The World's End is still far superior to 2012 (but then again, what isn't?).
