As the daughter of Peter Baylis, the writer and producer of the original series, I must disclose that this review may not be entirely impartial. However, it is heartening to see that Peter's work continues to captivate audiences today. The quality of the original series remains evident in this version. Unfortunately, it appears that bits and pieces from the original have been haphazardly combined without proper consideration for Peter's treatment of one theme per episode with a dedicated narrator for each. Consequently, this re-cut gives off an impression of repetitiveness and lacks coherence. I regret to say that Peter would likely not have been pleased with these alterations made to his work.
The background music overshadowed the commentary, making it challenging to hear the words. However, overall, the content was satisfactory.
