I purchased this DVD because I don't have access to satellite TV. It would have been great if it aired on BBC or ITV, as it deserves more exposure. The show is original and clever, with a fantastic cast of easily recognizable characters (probably seen in ASDA!). What sets this DVD apart are the extras. It was fascinating to watch and learn about the development of the show, set design, and the challenges faced during production. The interviews with the cast were also very good, although Jane Horrocks didn't come across as a pleasant person and might be difficult to work with. I will definitely be getting series 2 when it becomes available on DVD.

Sky's investment in new British comedies has had both positive and negative effects. On the positive side, it has resulted in the creation of talented shows like Trollied. However, the downside is that these shows are only accessible to those who can afford dishes and monthly subscription packages. Despite some occasional lapses in comedic pace and unexpected moments of crudeness, Trollied is still a well-acted and observant comedy worth checking out.
