This comment offers an escape from reality into a nostalgic dream-like state, where people were polite and chivalrous. It transports you to a time when manners mattered and protected women from the existence of evil. However, it does not provide access to The Underground in its current form.

This is a fantastic portrayal of life in the past. As a fan of the underground, I have read many books on the subject. What stood out to me in this film was how smoothly it flowed without relying heavily on dialogue screens. It is possibly the best silent film I have ever seen. (And no, I am not being sponsored by a certain lager!)
