This product is exquisitely crafted and performs exceptionally well indoors. When positioned in the cellar, it effortlessly reaches the top floor of a 4-storey building with signal strength to spare. However, when placed on a window sill, it falls short of reaching a line of sight 50m away despite having a strong signal. While this may be disappointing for long-range use, it is perfect for enhancing Wi-Fi coverage in spacious homes.
I purchased this WiFi device to ensure a strong signal from my house to the garage at the end of my garden for a security camera. Previously, we had a UniFi outdoor AP that lasted for years. However, this new device only lasted 24 hours before malfunctioning. I installed it on Monday and by Tuesday it was no longer functioning - possibly due to the high temperature of around 40 degrees outside. I thought these devices were designed to withstand temperatures up to 70 degrees? Regardless, I am hopeful that the replacement will perform better. Additionally, although it is an improvement over the old device, the signal strength is not as strong as anticipated.
This is amazing! I've replaced my unsupported UAP AC Outdoor units with two of these. They are much cheaper and perform just as well. I'm using them in AP mode and also tested the mesh feature, which worked flawlessly for a week. The package includes a Poe injector (48v) and a UK plug, as well as pole mounting hardware if wall mounting isn't suitable.
