I absolutely love this film set! It's amazing. There are a total of 9 DVDs in the set, and I have already watched about 4 of them. These old movies are fantastic, and I am extremely pleased with my experience so far.
If you love classic British comedy, these films are a must-watch. Filmed beautifully in black and white, they remain incredibly funny even today. I highly recommend "Ask a Policeman" and "Oh, Mr Porter" for their timeless humor.
It may be a bit early to write a full review since I have only watched three out of the nine DVDs in the set. However, I highly recommend this collection as it showcases the best of British humor. Will Hay's performances are priceless as he portrays incompetent characters who find themselves in positions of responsibility, whether it be as a teacher, lawyer, or captain of an ocean-going cargo ship. Each story is well-crafted and far from the typical "screwball comedy" found in American films. Each DVD has approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes of viewing time, and based on the three I have seen so far, the pacing is enjoyable and keeps you engaged. Watching these films takes you back to the 1930s and provides wholesome entertainment that genuinely makes you laugh.
