Logitech M235 Wireless Mouse (Red)

The Logitech M235 is a compact, ambidextrous optical mouse designed for everyday use on laptops, desktops, and other computing devices. Its sleek red finish adds a touch of style while maintaining a professional look.

Key Features

• Wireless Technology: Operates via a 2.4 GHz RF connection with a USB Unifying Receiver, ensuring reliable performance up to 10 feet from the host device.
• Optical Tracking: Equipped with a high‑resolution optical sensor that delivers smooth cursor movement at up to 1000 DPI, suitable for both office tasks and casual browsing.
• Three‑Button Layout: Includes left, right, and scroll wheel buttons. The scroll wheel supports two‑way scrolling with a click‑to‑click feature for quick navigation.
• Ambidextrous Design: Curved shape accommodates both left‑handed and right‑handed users without compromising ergonomics or comfort.
• Low Power Consumption: Designed to last up to a year on a single AA battery, thanks to efficient circuitry and power‑saving modes that activate when the mouse is idle.
• Compact Size: Measures approximately 4.5 inches in length, making it ideal for travel, tight workspaces, or small desks.

Connectivity & Compatibility

The M235 uses a USB Unifying Receiver, which can be paired with up to six compatible Logitech devices. The receiver plugs into any standard USB port on Windows, macOS, Linux, or Chromebook systems. No additional drivers are required for basic functionality; however, the Logitech Options software can provide advanced customization such as button remapping and DPI adjustment.

Battery & Power Management

The mouse operates on a single AA battery (alkaline). When the device is not in use, it automatically enters a low‑power sleep mode to extend battery life. Users can manually wake the mouse by moving or clicking any button.

Ergonomics & Build Quality

The M235’s ergonomic shape reduces wrist strain during prolonged use. Its matte finish prevents fingerprints and provides a secure grip even when hands are slightly sweaty. The internal construction uses durable plastic components that withstand daily handling without compromising performance.

Use Cases

• Office Productivity: Ideal for document editing, spreadsheet navigation, and email management thanks to its precise optical sensor and comfortable grip.
• Travel & Portability: Lightweight and compact, it fits easily into laptop bags or briefcases without adding bulk.
• Home Entertainment: Works seamlessly with media centers, streaming devices, and gaming setups that support USB receivers.

Software Integration

While the M235 functions out of the box, Logitech’s Options software allows users to tweak DPI settings (within the 1000 DPI limit), remap buttons, and set custom gestures. This flexibility makes it suitable for both casual users and those who prefer a more tailored experience.

Environmental Considerations

The mouse’s low power consumption and long battery life reduce electronic waste. Additionally, the use of a single AA battery means that replacement batteries can be recycled or disposed of responsibly according to local regulations.

Conclusion

The Logitech M235 Wireless Mouse (Red) combines reliable wireless performance, ergonomic design, and long battery life in a compact package. Its versatile features make it an excellent choice for professionals, students, and everyday users who value both style and functionality.
