The Adaptec Host Bus Adapter 1100-8e is a powerful controller for use in servers and workstations. It supports eight SATA3/SAS3 channels with a transfer rate of up to 12 Gbit/s per channel. The adapter is compatible with a PCI-Express x8 slot and has two data connectors on side B, which are executed as SFF-8644. It can be used in both the full-height and low-profile form factor. The adapter does not support RAID and offers no further features such as data compression or encryption.
