Bellini's opera "Capuleti e i Montecchi" tells the story of Giuliano and Lucrezia, two young lovers who fall in love with each other and are met with resistance from their families. However, their love is not to be denied, and they are eventually married. However, their happiness is short-lived, as they soon find out that their families have already arranged a marriage for them. They are then forced to leave each other and live in different parts of Italy. However, they still maintain a strong relationship, and finally return to each other's side.
