The Abus 82/90 Shutter Padlock is a premium security solution designed for doors, windows, gates, and other openings that require robust protection. Crafted from high‑strength brass, this padlock delivers exceptional durability while maintaining an elegant, understated appearance.

Key Features

• Monoblock Construction: The lock body is a single, seamless unit that eliminates weak points and resists forced entry.
• Brass Material: Brass offers natural corrosion resistance, ensuring long‑term performance even in harsh outdoor environments.
• 90 mm Shackle Length: The shackle is precisely engineered to fit standard 82 mm openings, providing a secure latch for most residential and commercial applications.
• Carded Design: A built‑in card slot allows the lock to be opened with a key or a flat card, offering flexibility in access methods.
• High Security Grade: The padlock meets stringent European security standards, making it suitable for high‑risk areas such as storage units, workshops, and outdoor sheds.
• Weather‑Proof Finish: A protective coating guards against rust, salt spray, and UV exposure, preserving the lock’s integrity over time.

Applications

The versatility of the Abus 82/90 Shutter Padlock makes it ideal for a wide range of settings:

• Residential Security: Secure patio doors, garden sheds, and storage cabinets.
• Commercial Use: Protect office doors, conference rooms, and equipment lockers.
• Industrial Facilities: Guard access to machinery bays, loading docks, and utility panels.
• Outdoor Installations: Safeguard gates, fencing, and outdoor storage units against theft and vandalism.

Installation Guide

1. Select the Correct Opening Size: Measure the width of the door or gate to ensure a snug fit for the 90 mm shackle.
2. Align the Shackle: Position the lock so that the shackle passes through the opening without obstruction.
3. Screw Securely: Use the provided screws (or suitable fasteners) to attach the padlock to the frame or hinge plate.
4. Test Operation: Insert a key or card into the slot, turn the lock, and verify smooth engagement and disengagement.

Maintenance Tips

• Periodically clean the brass surface with mild soap and water to remove dirt and grime.
• Avoid harsh chemicals that could corrode the finish; instead, use a soft cloth for routine wiping.
• Check the shackle and keyway for smooth operation every few months, especially in environments prone to dust or debris.
