The Forest Garden Parisienne Arbour is a comfortable bench seat with a sloped back that provides support and relaxation while sitting. Its light and airy design allows room to seat up to two people, making it perfect for small gatherings or private moments in the garden.
The arbour features a slatted roof that allows some natural light through while also offering protection against summer showers. This product offers excellent value for money, but it is important to mention that some DIY skills are required for assembly. Unlike IKEA flatpacks, the instructions provided are not very clear and may require additional effort. It is recommended to have a drill and at least two people available during assembly. Please note that due to the poor instructions, it took longer than expected to put together. Additionally, in certain cases, the supplied screws may be slightly too short for a secure installation.
The product was not delivered on time and the driver refused to bring the panels into the garage, so we had to do it ourselves. Additionally, there were no written assembly instructions provided, only diagrams which made it challenging to follow. The diagrams required carpentry skills to understand properly. Furthermore, some of the wood was warped and did not fit well together. Lastly, when I reached out to the seller via email about these issues, their response was unsatisfactory.
The instructions for assembly were not very clear and required some trial and error. Additionally, the finish on certain components was poor and needed to be sanded before completion. The trellis was stapled on, but it seemed like it was done hastily as 50% of the staples missed their mark and had to be removed, leaving sharp ends exposed. However, I must commend the delivery guys who were excellent and carried the item from the lorry to my desired location in the garden without any issues. Overall, I have given it four stars because although it could have been better, it looks really good now that it is assembled.
